Hello and thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Christopher McPhail and I look forward to helping you enjoy your photographs for generations to come. 

I was born and raised in upstate New York and come from an American Indian and Scottish heritage.  Growing up in the small Township of Hartwick I developed a love for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for the raw beauty of nature.  After high school I served in the United States Navy where I met my wife of 17 years.  Together we have three boys that ensure we stay very active and busy.  I have worked for a major pharmaceutical firm in Research triangle Park since moving to North Carolina in 2002. 

I attribute my love and passion for photography to my extensive time in the outdoors as a child, and the love of my family.  I am a self taught photographer that enjoys natural lighting, I  feel a special connection with landscapes and black and white photographs.
